The committee charged with deciding the fate of stadium woods is up and running.  They are receiving comments by sending an e-mail to:  apfsec@vt.edu
Send them e-mail even if it is as short as "I am strongly opposed to siting the practice facility in Stadium Woods" .  Then tell others to send e-mail.  There are individuals on the committee doing everything possible to silence public opinion. Let them hear from you.

Lawrence Tucei the Live Oaks Project Director for the Native Tree Society commented concerning Stadium Woods on January 27, 2012:

   

  “Areas with old trees such as these should be protected.  There are many White Oaks in North America in the 50 – 70 year old range but the 200-500 year old trees are extremely rare.”
